MAPES, Elizabeth Patterson - Putnam

Roachdale -- Elizabeth Ann MATES (sic - name is definitely Mapes) passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Cunningham at 7:30 o´clock Friday night. Death came after an illness of six months. The deceased was born in Champaign Co ILL April 14, 1853 and was married to John W. Mates August 1931. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are one daughter, and one son, FM Mates of Soddard, KS; six grandchildren and five greats. Funeral services will be held with the Rev. AJ Laughlin of Hundled, W VA in charge.
